This page explains the “as-is” nature of Better Capes and related services.
This Terms of Use and Liability Notice page explains important limitations of liability and general terms that apply when you use the Better Capes mod, its website, and any associated backend services (the “Service”).
Better Capes is a passion project built and maintained by a single independent developer. The Service may change over time, and features may be updated, limited, or discontinued as development continues.
We aim to keep the Service stable and reliable, but availability and feature behavior cannot be guaranteed at all times.
Certain words used in this document have defined meanings when written with a capitalized first letter. These definitions apply whether the terms appear in singular or plural form.
The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without any guarantees regarding availability, reliability, or accuracy.
The Company assumes no responsibility for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the Service, including any website content or in-game cape presentation.
In no event shall the Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of the Service.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites that are not operated or controlled by the Company. The Company assumes no responsibility for their content or practices.
The Company makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
The Company shall not be liable for any damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Access to the Service may be suspended or terminated if you violate applicable terms, rules, or policies.
Payments for Better Capes Premium are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record.
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with Paddle’s Buyer Terms. The cancellation period expires 14 days from the day after the transaction is completed.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform Paddle of your decision before the 14-day period expires. For fastest processing, cancellation and refund requests should be submitted directly through Paddle’s official support channels.
If a cancellation is accepted, Paddle will reimburse all payments received without undue delay and no later than 14 days after being informed of your decision. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction, and no fees will be charged for the reimbursement.
Please note that the right to cancel does not apply to digital content that has already been downloaded, accessed, or otherwise made available, nor to products for which you have already received the benefit, as permitted by applicable law.
Refunds are otherwise provided at Paddle’s discretion and may be refused in cases of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behavior. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights for products that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
The Company does not process refunds directly and does not determine refund eligibility. All refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, and consumer rights are handled exclusively by Paddle under Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Conditions.
